Todd Sisson

Born and raised on the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota, Todd began his sojourn into music at a very young age as a student of piano, saxophone and voice. Picking up the bass guitar at age 10, he started performing at local events as bass/lead vocalist for C-I Pacific who, as “exceptionally talented” 5th/6th Graders, were featured on the Welcome Inn Show on KCMT / KNMT TV.

Todd developed the band “Savage Soul“ and continued performing on bass/vocals until he discovered the 6-string guitar and started playing solo engagements. At age 15, Todd was co-creator and front-man/guitarist for “The Beaver Creek Band” which played in local and regional venues. In the early 80’s he joined up with the regional fan-favorite power-rock band “Runamuck” and later worked with the band “The Plan” to develop and record an album. The album received regional acclaim and radio play.

Todd has since been performing as a solo singer and acoustic guitar player across Northwestern/ North Central Minnesota and the Fargo, ND area playing for radio shows, events, venues, private parties and fund-raisers. In 2007 He was selected to perform for the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Foundation’s Annual Memorial along with Jazz great George Maurer and radio host Garrison Keillor in St. Cloud. He has written several songs and is working to release his 2nd collection of recordings.

Todd’s songs are reflective of his life of personal observation, his uncomplicated view of love and family, and his passion for “good song“.

Folk Humorist Mary Mack performs her sometimes-musical comedy at festivals, colleges, clubs, casinos and anywhere you can find a llama or a buffet line. She has acted in cartoons, weird student films, and commercials that urge you to buy food for your hamster. (Mary is totally FOR feeding your hamster.) A favorite on radio shows and podcasts around the country, including Marc Maron's WTF Podcast, The Bob and Tom Show, and American Public Media's WITS, Mary played the leading character Dylan on Fox's new late night cartoon Golan the Insatiable, season one. Her voice has also been heard in the cult favorite Aqua Teen Hunger Force on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Mack’s comedy (spotted with occasional mandolin or clarinet outbursts) has been seen in the Vancouver Comedy Fest, The Andy Kaufman Awards, Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival, and the San Francisco Sketch Fest as one of "The Dozen" up and coming headliners designated by the festival. She had her national TV debut on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and NBC's Last Comic Standing.

This month’s Downtown After Hours theme is, “Opening Avenues." The idea behind “Opening Avenues” is to create dialog about all the exciting projects, developments, and changes happening in Downtown Fargo. One of our goals is to always actively keep both Downtowners and the community at large informed about what’s happening in the heart of our city. Now, more than ever, this is crucial. We are excited for the future of Downtown and its continued vibrant evolution.

This will be a great opportunity to connect with those active in and passionate about our Downtown in an informal setting. There will not be a formal panel for questions and answers, but we encourage you to interact with all present that evening. If you wish to make a brief statement regarding Downtown and your vision for it, or interest in it, we encourage you to do so!

Eliot Lipp ALL VINYL - SOLD OUT

Eliot Lipp is a producer, DJ and sound designer. After more than a decade living in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York (but equally home on the road), the intrepid producer has landed in beautiful Austin Texas. He's been spending most of his time collaborating with musicians, DJing, performing and grinding in the studio. Theres no particular style of electronic music that takes the focus but theres always a good amount of hip-hop and funk influences. Over the years Lipp has developed a palette of electronic beats & soulful samples while crafting a unique style.
